Job Summary

The role Head of Compliance Department is to assist Head of Legal & Compliance Division in satisfying the compliance responsibilities.  It also acts as the conscience of the Company and preserves its reputation by ensuring all activities are conducted in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as Group standards and requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Giving compliance advice & guidance
2. Monitoring businesses to provide compliance assurance
3. Reporting to the company's Management Committee/Supervisory Committee/Risk Management Committee
4. Conducting direct training/providing advices related to Compliance, Financial Crimes, AML issues
5. Developing and maintain appropriate relationship or perform certain specific activities with various external/ internal bodies and parties
6. Ensuring clear & practical Financial Crimes-related policies & procedures are in place 
7. Developing & Implementing Operational Risk Management Program

Job Requirements

1. Education background

• University graduates, preferably majoring in legal/banking/accounting/audit

2. Work experience

• Prior experience (5 years) in legal or compliance or risk management functions in in banking, finance, accounting or audit is an advantage.

3. Qualifications

• Have broad knowledge of financial services/legal
• Understand banking / consumer finance regulations and products; compliance regime; risk management, Compliance/audit techniques
• Ability to speak and write in English at advanced level
• PC proficiency and excellent organization skills
• Integrity, innovative, customer service, collaborative
• Should be confident, assertive and have a flair for Team Management
