Job Title:  Accounting Team Head

Description: 

I. Key Roles & Responsibilities

 

1. AR / AP and Tax control (40%):

  • Responsible for supervising the AR & AP team to ensure payment processing timely and accurately aligning both internal policy and tax regulations
  • Review tax reports and ensure tax submission by deadline accurately, keep good record for tax inspections.
  • To be main contact point with Tax authorities

 

2. Group report and Intercompany transaction (15%):

  • In charge of intercompany transactions.
  • To be in charge of Group’s monthly & quarterly reports to ensure timely and quality of reports submitted as per IFRS

 

3. Contract reviewing (15%):

  • Be Finance Checker in contract workflow: Review contract and ensure it is aligned both internal policy and tax regulation.

 

4. Monthly closing (15%):

  • Review and post all journal vouchers relating to month-end closing to ensure all necessary booking inputted into accounting system.
  • Review monthly overall movement of expenses and all accounts for month-end closing process to ensure all accounts should be maintained in good condition
  • Supervise month-end closing process to ensure timely and quality of financial closing
  • Review and prepare (if any) breakdown & reconciliation for all accounts
  • Ad-hoc / Others assigned task by Line Manager or Chief Accountant

 

4. Ad-hoc / Other assigned tasks (10%):

  • In charge of review the contract relating to the financial aspect
  • User coaching
  • Support CA in reviewing documents and activities in the accounting department

 

5. Other essential functions (5%):

  • Prepare data, analysis reports where necessary to meet the urgent/ad-hoc requirements from regulatory bodies

 

 

II. Job Requirements

 

1.Qualification

  • University Degree majored in Accounting/Finance/Banking
  • Understand IFRS, VAS, Vietnam tax laws, SBV’s regulations

 

2. Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Financial and Accounting. Accounting team management experience is a plus.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Tax reporting is required, intensive experience in dealing with Tax Authority is an added value.
  • Experience in banking/consumer finance/financial services is a plus

 

 

3. Knowledge

  • IFRS, VAS, Vietnam tax laws.
  • Knowledge in Consumer Finance industry is an asset.
  • Good knowledge in spreadsheet, numbers savvy, computation skills

 

4. Skills

 

  • Fair language skills in English and Vietnamese
  • Good communication skills, well-organized, good time management
  • Excellent MS Excel skills, spreadsheet, numbers savvy are compulsory.
  • Ability to learn independently and work with a high degree of autonomy as well as team player
  • Manpower management skills are preferable.
