Job Title:  Accounting Team Head (SBV Reporting)

Job Summary

The role is a key position in the reporting function, to provide efficiently, accurately and timely reports which comply with the external/internal reporting requirement as well as the accounting standards, policies and reporting processes.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Local statutory reports
  • To be in charge of local statutory reports including reports to the State Bank of Vietnam and other regulatory bodies
  • Ensure the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting systems
  • Identify and recommend for processes improvements
  • To be the contact person for SBV reporting matters
  1. System management
  • Co-ordinate with IT and Operation departments in testing/checking processes of developing/improving the systems aligning with requirements to support business growth
  • Actively recommend/propose new initiatives to improve current systems/processes to be more effective
  1. Monthly closing: Actively involved in the month-end closing process including review & check for all journal vouchers relating to loan management transactions, debt classification and provision, breakdown & reconciliation of loan accounts…
  2. Others : Prepare reports as necessary to meet the urgent requirements from regulatory bodies

Job Requirements

1. Qualifications:

  • University Degree majored in Accounting/Finance & Banking /Auditing or any related major.

2. Work Experience:

  • Minimum5 years of working experience in Finance/Accounting department
  • 4 years of experience in reporting is an advantage, intensive experience in dealing with SBV regulations and reporting is an added value

Experience in banking/consumer finance/financial services is a requirement.

3. Knowledge

  • IFRS, VAS, Vietnam tax laws
  • Knowledge of SBV’s requirements is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Consumer Finance industry is an asset

4. Skills

  • Good language skills in English and Vietnamese
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent MS Excel skills, spreadsheet, numbers savvy are compulsory
  • Proficient in SAS is a plus

5. Attitude

  • Proactive, trust-worthy, detail person
